This Is Harder Than I Expected!!!

“So how did things go with finding a Bookkeeper?”

“Don’t go there.”

“Why – what’s up?”

“Do you know how hard it is to find a Bookkeeper?”

“What are you talking about? There’s bookkeeper flyers in our letterbox every week and you have told me about the Mums that do it part time at the kid’s school – it can’t be that hard to find one.”

“Oh, they’re out there alright, but never when I need them.”

“Yeah, really – in the last week I have rang about ten of them and there’s only four that I really liked.”

“Ok, so you have four to choose from – what’s the problem?”

“One can only come out on Tuesday’s and that’s the day I work at the school.”

“Ok – what about the others?”

“One is happy to come out any day of the week but only in the evening and I don’t want a bookkeeper around here when I’m sorting out the kids and dinner”

“That makes sense – I wouldn’t want them here at that time of the day either.”

“The third one can only come out on Thursdays and that’s when I visit my folks and take your folks shopping and the last one doesn’t use the bookkeeping software that we use.”

“Bloody hell – can’t any of them be a bit more flexible?”

“They all do their bookkeeping part time around other stuff they have to do.”

“Well, what are we going to do then?”

“I’ll keep looking but I’m running out of options.”

“Looks like you’ll have to keep doing the books.”

“Here’s an idea – you do your own books.”

“I’m not getting back in to this argument again.”

“Then help me come up with a solution.”

Are you coming home to these types of conversations?
